Tupou Hala‘api‘api, 83, of Captain Cook died Sept. 15, at home. Born in Kolonga, Tonga, he was a retired coffee farmer and member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Keei Ward. Visitation 8:30-10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 28, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Kealakekua. Funeral service at 10 a.m. Burial to follow at Saints Family Cemetery in Middle Keei. Casual attire; flowers welcome. Nohea Michael Huddleston, 59, of Hilo, formerly of Kihei, Maui, died Sept. 9 at home. Born in Honolulu, he was a member of Iron Workers Union Local 625. and president of No Cry Babies Motorcycle Club. Private services held Sept. 16, at Dodo Mortuary. Survived by daughter, Makanamaikalanikealohapoinaloe “Makana” Huddleston; stepdaughter, Morgan (Brandon Machado) Montibon; stepson Keli‘i (Kaleonahelani) Montibon; brothers, Kimo (Stephanie) Huddleston of San Diego, Keoki (Wailana Purdy-Kaai) Huddleston of Maui and Kahale (Melanie) Huddleston of Hilo; sister, Lehuanani (Pouono) Hafoka-Huddleston of Maui; two grandsons; nieces, nephews and cousins. Jamie Kahela Kaniho, 42, of Kailua-Kona died Sept. 9 at home. Born in Kealakekua, she was previously employed at Four Season Resort Hualalai and a Konawaena High School 2000 graduate. Born in Tonga, he was a tree climber and trimmer for county Parks and Recreation, secretary for Free Church of Tonga and member of Kalapu Kaikava. Marlene Agan Manzano, 74, of Pahoa died Sept. 15 at home. Born in Keaau, she was a member of the Mauna Kea Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses, a stay-at-home mother and had worked at the Keaau Papaya Factory, Hawaiian Sun Chocolate Factory and Cost-U-Less. Barbara Diane Vigil, 55, of Keaau died Aug. 25 at home. Born in Colorado, she she graduated from Arvada West High School, earned a B.S. in Human Development and Family Studies from Colorado State University and devoted her career to mental health care and teaching in state agencies in Colorado and Hawaii. Private services held. Survived by father, Albert Vigil of Longmont, Colo.; son, Garrison Vigil of Broomfield, Colo.; daughter, Diane McCallian of Oahu; sisters aand a brother; nieces and nephews.
